There is a famous saying in the Tao Te Ching, "One life gives birth to two, two gives birth to three, and three gives birth to all things", which is Laozi's theory of the generation of the universe. The underlying logic of marketing fission and referral is also very similar to this. Everyone think carefully, don't you?
Especially in terms of referrals, they are the most cost-effective and efficient way for institutions to acquire customers, as they are often referred to as' one life two, two lives four, four lives eight... '.
But many institutions do a referral activity, giving parents gifts or even bonuses, which is not a referral at all, just a marketing activity. The real referral is not a result, but a long-term process!
In referrals, recognition is the foundation of referrals. Making parents recognize us, whether it's teaching, service, or cultural environment, is great. Making parents recognize this teacher/institution is something that others cannot compare to, and they are willing to recommend others to us. Only then can we have a good state of referral.
After laying a solid foundation, there should be reasonable methods to guide parents. In daily life, a lot of work needs to be done, such as children's growth reports, after-school reviews, and homework checks. Through holiday gifts and greeting cards, we are also strengthening the emotional connection with parents and guiding them to introduce us later.
1. Touching people with emotions:
Make parents become your friends, through this simple friendship relationship, pay attention to the child, consider the child wholeheartedly, comprehensively enhance the child's abilities, provide emotional value for parents, and parents will also thank us. At this time, we request parents to help us with referrals, stating that from the perspective of friends, parents are usually willing to introduce new customers to us out of gratitude.
2. Luring with profit:
Sometimes, giving parents some benefits can better promote their referrals. By using implicit and indirect methods to allow customers to make referrals, we can reduce parents' concerns and provide them with satisfactory benefits. This way, we can smoothly obtain their referrals.
3. Super user:
When our campus expands to a certain extent, we can even introduce "super users" in the campus to unlock some special benefits for these parents.
For example, parents who have studied on campus for more than three years and have referred ten or more children to the campus will receive discounts on tuition fees. They will also be regularly invited to participate in other activities, such as parenting lectures, and special gifts will be prepared to make these parents the main force of referrals.
4. Make good post class reviews
Starting from these four principles can better improve the efficiency of teachers and students' post class feedback.
1) Timely principle: Comments must be timely. After class, the child's classroom performance should be sent to parents on the day of class;
2) Specific principles: no ambiguity, no empty talk. Not only should the child have their strengths, but also the areas where they need to improve should be pointed out in a timely manner, such as whether the skills from the previous class have been applied to this class, mastery of classroom performance and emotional expression, resolution of key and difficult points in the class, and the next class curriculum plan;
3) Sincerity principle: Do not make empty promises, always consider the child's own situation, do not praise the child harshly, and show the child's true performance to parents, so as to avoid too similar comments in the later stage. Of course, when you achieve the other three points, this one can be a bit lazy~
4) Starting from details: Commenting on students in detail will give teachers something to say and also show parents the teacher's dedication.
Education is a business, but not just a business. No matter how well we do the process, the core is still sincerity! Customers who help you refer new customers, whether successful or not, should be grateful. Gratitude can motivate old customers to work harder to help you refer new customers.
